Curemonte
At 7 Km. away from the bed and breakfast Manoir de La Brunie, come to discover the village de Curemonte.
Witness of its prestigious past, Curemonte retains a heritage of great wealth: three castles, three churches, six or seven "noble houses", his hall, all accompanied by a set of high quality houses that have preserved their authenticity.
The castles stand in the village of Curemonte on both sides of the church and the hall they closely surround. Two of them are gathered within the same enclosure and have never ceased since the seventeenth century to be in the same hands: the castle of Saint-Hilaire (square towers), the oldest, built in the late fourteenth century just at the end of the Hundred Years War, which removed the ancient fortifications that existed previously, and Castle Plas (Round Towers), which it dates back to the mid-sixteenth.
